Pauline’s Journey with CAPE: A Story of Dedication and Growth

Pauline first joined CAPE as a volunteer in our newly opened charity shop. Shortly after, she began volunteering at the CAPE Centre, where she supported the team and clients until 2015. Recognizing her dedication and passion, Pauline was offered a full-time role in 2016 as a Psychological Support Worker.

In this role, Pauline worked closely with clients, facilitated group sessions, and conducted outreach work to support individuals with complex mental health needs. Her commitment to client care and her deep understanding of mental health challenges made her an invaluable part of the team.

As CAPE evolved in 2021, so did Pauline’s role- she was appointed as a Senior Psychological Strength-Based Practitioner, reflecting her continued growth and leadership within the organisation. By the spring of 2024, Pauline took on the responsibility of leading the Psychological Strength-Based Practitioner team, guiding and mentoring her colleagues with the same compassion and dedication she’s always shown.

Pauline describes CAPE as a place that’s constantly evolving, providing countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. She shares that the most rewarding part of her work is seeing clients, some of whom have been with CAPE for over a decade, make progress and move on to lead more independent, fulfilling lives.

Her journey is a true testament to her unwavering commitment to CAPE, her resilience, and her passion for making a difference in people’s lives.
